Organizational culture is a combination of common beliefs and values among individuals of an organization which constitute the essence of organizational behavior. The issue of organizational culture is most appreciated in such subjects as planning, leadership and change management. Culture is a major factor in supporting the strategic plan for any organization as it is virtually impossible for managers to successfully implement a given strategy without acquiring the support of individuals of the organization and paying due attention to its culture. In this study which is done on four major commercial banks of Iran, the current situation of their organizational culture has been assessed regarding the extent of the compatibility of their variables with customer oriented strategy in order to evaluate their readiness to adopt customer strategy as the main strategy of their organizations.
