Abstract

Objective: Given that AI is a highly complex and general-purpose technology with many potential new application areas, limited studies on the readiness of new technology businesses to use AI have created a significant research gap. The purpose of this research is to identify factors affecting the readiness to use artificial intelligence in new technological businesses. This research is a prerequisite for building AI readiness and strengthening its use.

Method: This research is applied in terms of purpose, exploratory in terms of nature, and qualitative in terms of data type.

Findings: The findings of the present study showed that several factors affect the readiness to use artificial intelligence in new technological businesses. The factors identified in this research include organizational factors, technological factors, infrastructure factors, data governance factors, environmental factors, and legal factors.

Conclusions: By identifying the factors that lead to the readiness of new technological businesses to use artificial intelligence, this research will ensure that these businesses embrace artificial intelligence and take advantage of its opportunities. In addition, they can turn the challenges of artificial intelligence into opportunities, lower their risk levels, and ultimately provide the basis for their growth and progress, especially compared to competitors.
