Abstract

There are several factors that threaten an organization's viability. These factors mainly are considered under the field of organizational demography and ecology.
Experiences of some researches in other countries on organizational mortality could be summarized and categorizes in three main factors as follow:
Context factors: factors out of organization and harmful like environmental competition, resource partitioning and vital events.
Content factors: refer to decision makers and human resource in organization that include management and founders.
Co-structure factors: comprise several identifying factors such as organization age, size, type of industry, geographical location, and product portfolio.
This essay is trying to present a new model for organizational mortality by review on the findings of empirical researches has been conducted in other countries. At the end of essay there are some key points for administrating mortality period in organization
