The effect of Hexaco's personality model and transformational leadership on succession: With the mediating role of protean career attitude (Study case: Imam Khomeini (RA) Relief Committee of Kurdistan Province)

Abstract

The present research was conducted with the aim of determining the effects of Hexaco's personality model and transformational leadership on succession with the mediating role of protean job attitude. In terms of purpose, the research is applied, the implementation method is descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional. The statistical population of the research includes all the employees of the Imam Khomeini (RA) relief committee of Kurdistan province, numbering 401 people. The sampling method is stratified random and using Cohen's method and online sample size calculator for structural equation models available in www.danielsoper.com, 210 employees were selected as the statistical sample of the research. In order to collect data, a standard questionnaire was used. Because the data distribution was non-normal according to the skewness and kurtosis test. Therefore, PLS software was used for data analysis. The reliability of the measurement model was checked and verified using factor loadings, composite reliability and Cronbach's alpha, and convergent validity with the AVE criterion and divergent validity with the HTMT index. The results of data analysis with the structural equation model showed that the variables of Hexaco's personality model and transformational leadership have a direct effect on succession, and they also indirectly affect succession through the mediating variable of protean's job attitude.
